Coral Coast

It is a coastal stretch so called because of the great importance of the red coral that is fished in its waters and worked to make jewellery and ornaments since the days of ancient Rome.

Necropolis of Anghelu Ruju

It is the largest necropolis of pre-Nuragic Sardinia, discovered accidentally in 1903. There are 38 pre-Nuragic chamber tombs, dated to Neolithic, Chalcolithic and Bronze Age (between 3200 and 1600 BC).

It is the capital of the island of Sardinia. It has about 150,000 inhabitants. Under the buildings of the modern city there is a continuous stratification attesting to human settlement over the course of some five thousand years, from the Neolithic to today.

NUORO

Holy Mary of Grace Church

It is a newly built church with a granite facade and decorated with mosaic on the theme of the Rosary mysteries. In this church, every November 21, citizenship keeps a vote made to Mary, with a religious ceremony wearing charming Sardinian costumes.

It was first settled by Phoenicians and it contains ruins from the Nuragic era to the Roman era, when it was an important port. Now it is a tourist destination thanks to its sea and beaches.

SASSARI

The Cathedral of St. Nicholas

It was built in the 13th century. It is a mixture of styles and decorations: the legacy of a long history (Gothic vaults, a baroque façade and classical décor).
